2006 Brewer-Clifton Zotovich Pinot Noir

4,896 bottles produced. This exciting vineyard project is owned by Steve Zotovich and is under the vineyard management of Krska farming. Our four acre section is planted in sandy loam soils to clones 113, 114 and 115. 15.9% Alcohol.

Pop and Pour:  Color is a VERY light red, very see through.  The nose has a very distinct rhubarb mixed with cherry and strawberry flavor.  Almost root beer like.  Accents of fresh cut weeds.  A weird, but IRONICALLY enough....LOVELY NOSE.  Slight hints of plastic coming through.  On the palate, definitely light on its feet.  Loaded with red fruit.  Coca Cola.  The alcohol is pretty calm for a lighter wine with this high of alcohol.  An almost HEAVENLY finish that lasts.  Fresh ripe red fruit.  The finish is mixed with Cola and spice.  Not a push over Pinot, by any means.  Holy S$%& what a finish!  20+ Seconds.  Plastic showing on the front 1/4 of wine.  There is also a slight bitterness that shows on the front 1/2 that I hope settles.

Fast Forward:  No fast forward, this was gone and pretty fast.

Overall:  An AMAZING finish.  The 06 Zotovich is in a GREAT place right now.  Probably has another good 3-5 years.  I might decant for 30 minutes to get this wine really moving.  Once you hit that finish though, this wine will not last long for sure.  GREAT WINE
